Doctor Sleep - by Stephen King

Doctor Sleep (The Shining, #2)Doctor Sleep by Stephen King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Doctor Sleep is an excellent read. This book is impossible to put down at times.
The story flows at a good pace. The continuation of characters from The Shining is well done, as is the introduction of new characters.
You really start to feel for the characters.
I quickly got used to how the point of view jumps around. I consider this one of my favourite books from King!

MY BOOK VINTAGE HARDBACK e-reader cover, by KleverCase

Today, a review of an e-reader cover. http://klevercase.co.uk/collections/ereader-tablet/products/my-book
This one is very much a disappointment. I was so excited for this case. It looks great, looks just like a book. I didn't mind the lengthy shipping, as it was shipping in from outside the country. However, the case was not nearly what I expected. I got the universal, which should hold just about any 6" e-reader. Now, I understand that not all e-readers are exactly the same size, but for my e-reader to have a nice snug fit, it would have to be three quarters to a full inch taller. That's quite a ways off for a universal. Second, the moment I put my reader in the case, the glue that held it together began to separate. This isn't something I picked up at the dollar store or PoundLand, the glue should be a little stronger than that! Since it looks nice, I am most likely going to separate the rest of the glue and put in some other way to affix my e-reader to the case. Perhaps I can find a cheap, ugly case, and take out the attachment system from that case. I like it's look, but the quality isn't what I was expecting.

Alice in Zombieland, by Nickolas Cook

Alice in ZombielandAlice in Zombieland by Nickolas Cook
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I didn't like this book much at all. The zombie premise really felt shoe horned in. I see potential in the author who came up with this new version of Alice, however, this book doesn't feel very creative. They just threw blood and corpses all over Alice. I was expecting Alice to fight the zombies, not just play out a nearly identical plot line covered in blood.

The Shining, by Stephen King

The Shining (The Shining, #1)The Shining by Stephen King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was bloody fantastic! The middle dragged on and on a bit, however, the last third of The Shining is absolutely riveting. Well worth the slow journey through the middle third.
The action is describe with great detail, without droning on about anything. King's writing made me feel as if I was there, witnessing this myself.
I absolutely loved this book!

Dead(ish) Allsorts: Running Mike, by Naomi Kramer

Much like the others, it's an amusing little story. However, there just isn't a whole lot to say about it. It's filler, but it's enjoyable filler.
I had fun reading this.

Dead(ish) Allsorts: Lee Ming, by Naomi Kramer

This one, I could leave or take. It focused a little too much on building, which got old hat after a bit. Not every story in a series can be the best of the bunch.

It's cute. That's about all there is to say about this one, cute.
